The LAWS Pet Food Pantry is located at 770 Shawnee St, Leavenworth, KS outside the HOPE Pet Shelter. 

Distribution dates are usually the third Saturday of each month from 1pm to 3pm. Changes to that schedule will be announced on this pages, and on Facebook.

Please stay in your car and someone will come get your name and information. If you are walking, you can stand by the shed located by the deck and someone will come get your information. If you are new, please bring a picture ID and proof of address.

The Pet Food Pantry is meant to subsidize your pet food supply, so quantities are limited and are distributed on a first come, first serve basis until supplies run out.

Your pets must be spayed and neutered. If they are not, a coupon will be provided to use the LAWS Spay/Neuter Support Program which covers the cost of the surgery after a $25 copay and $10 rabies vaccine (if needed). Proof of spay/neuter must be provided within a given time frame of three to six months after being given a coupon.

 

Distribution limits. Up to two families can arrive in the same car and a representative of each family must be present. Picking up without a representative may be allowed in cases of sickness or work schedules. 

 

The Pet Food Pantry is run by LAWS, not the HOPE Pet Shelter. No food can be given out by the HOPE Pet Shelter personnel. Harassing the shelter staff may cause you to lose the ability to receive food from the Pet Food Pantry.
